We are positioned to support virtually any in-mold decorating need. A durable goods application may require a higher degree of chemical or abrasion resistance. A packaging application may not require the need for an extended outdoor or chemical durability. What ever your application is, we have the correct printing construction for the product.
How Does It Work?
The in-mold process is accomplished in a variety of ways. Using electro-static equipment in conjunction with a robot to hold the graphic tight in the tool is a common solution. Vacuum may be appropriate in some cases, and in others, a friction fit may be all that is required. After placement of the label in the tool is achieved, plastic is injected behind the label and a bond is created between the decoration and the resin resulting in a permanent, one-piece component. This process provides a surface coating that is abrasion proof and will be resistant to solvents. Our outdoor usable in-mold product will resist Ultra-Violet rays up to 10 years.
